29th Annual Convention · July 23 – 25, 2026

Every year, we co-create the annual convention together as a community. The same people who attend, connect, and laugh in the hallways are often the ones facilitating workshops or volunteering behind the scenes. We wear a lot of hats at Friends, and we love passing them around. Our roles shift and get shared. That’s part of the magic!

Whether you’re brand new to facilitating or have led workshops before, we enthusiastically invite you to share your ideas and step into this very rewarding role. Workshops are one of the most meaningful parts of our convention. They offer our community time for structured togetherness and protected space to learn and grow. Plus, they often spark the thought-provoking reflections and impromptu conversations that happen during our downtime and shared meals.

Who can facilitate? Adult attendees as well as teens as young as 14 years old are welcome to facilitate or co-facilitate! You can facilitate on your own, bring a co-facilitator you already have in mind, or let us help pair you with a Friend. We’re here to support you every step of the way in bringing your idea to life this summer.
